I can't say I always agree with what I assume (from myths, and what is known about her) my Goddess likes or dislikes.

I think (and hope) we agree on the big stuff, but it's guess work on my part.

For instance, going strictly from myths my Goddess might not approve of gay marriage, affirmative action, and be for the legalization of pot. I, on the other hand, support gay rights, and affirmative action and oppose legalizing pot.

Its largely a context thing - if I lived in the ancient world, in another culture, my answers would be different. It was during the ancient times and in those cultures these stories were developed-and they reflect the ideas of the time.

But if I only have these myths to go on, when estimating my Lady's beliefs, I would be forced to conclude that these are what she truly believes. I figure the Gods are reflections of the people and change with the times, to an extent.

Its a very complicated issue, and an interesting question!

Interesting.

See, I don't see my deity as particularly political. Not Wepwawet, Opener of Ways. If my Patron/Parent were someOne more Kingly, like Wesir (Osiris) or Heru-sa-Aset (Horus, son of Isis), maybe it'd be more of an issue. But Wepwawet seems pretty neutral on political matters.

As far as ethics go, that's more a question of Ma'at in the Kemetic belief system. Obviously I feel that my ethics align pretty well with that of my religion, otherwise I'd be in a different religion; a big reason why I chose Kemet as my path was how well it matched what I already believed.
