its too much. I am utterly stupified. This is the best piece of literature I have ever read. I read it straight through, in three hours, I had forgotten it was impossible to put this play down without finishing it. Harold Bloom claims it is the best American play of the century, and although is an assbackwards douche, he writes well of it. I love ( Read more... )

I'd forgotten how ominous and pitifully hopeless this play was. Each character launches a profound tyrade on each other from the slightest sign of discontent and then abruptly resigns to a forced sympathy almost immediately after they finish. This is the only piece of literature where I have been honestly afraid to begin the next chapter. Hopeless,
