Yesterday I visited Dad again. I had asked if it is okay with him if I take some pictures of his new apartment, to show you all. He was fine with that, so here we go.

Yes, he is feeling good there now. It took him a while, and it will take some more time before he knows where everything is, but it's becoming home now for him. :-)

Not bad at all! Once he settles in I would think he should be happy there. :-) Never seen an inhouse balcony before. Interesting!

He's getting better there all the time. The backlash of the stress of the move is catching up now, but he likes it there.
The balcony was a surprise to us all!

Yes, there is a very nice restaurant/tearoom area on the ground floor, where they can meet for tea, coffee, and lunch. It is a really nice place.

About 40 people from his old home moved to that new home, so plenty of people he knows already. :-)

Yes. That is true. Older often means less able to go out and meet new people, and also, in his age range (88), more and more people fall away.
