Elaborate? I'd like to see why "straight" women would be attracted to someone who looks like their own gender.

Same reason some straight women go for "macho" men and some go for "effeminate" men. People have preferences. All these labels are tacked onto people because society labels x as being feminine, and x as being masculine. Saying straight women being attracted to effeminate men are practically lesbians is like saying people who prefer giraffes over zebras are practically into bestiality with giraffes. It's an illogical conclusion drawn from gender roles 95% of this country falls into.

I guess effeminate is not any different from girly, then? I don't mind effeminate men (waaaay more sensitive) but I didn't know that applied to looks as well?
