On reflection, it appears that I am less reluctant to talk about my issues these days because I wish to avoid being seen as a cliche.

Ditto this. I'm working an an essay about the hospital/treatment because it fit with the prompt and cause it's THAT THING that you're supposed to write about, but I haven't had appropriate perspective until now. I'm avoiding the cliche. I acknowledge its existence, but try to show how it was nothing like the movies or books. We'll see.
