WTF, man. That's actually kind of funny in a cruel way--you could ask to be taken off the wait list at Barnard, and where it requests to know where you're choosing to go instead, you (not that you're actually going there--I don't presume to know your situation :p) could put, "Harvard." They would be like, "That's...new." I didn't know Barnard was that hard to get into, I mean, comparatively--odd.

So, Harvard over USC? But the USC program is so shiny and special and *right* in the perfect location! But *Harvard*. Oh, man.

it'll be hard to say "no" to usc because of all of those things. but it's also across the country (and therefore I shall be coming home 2/3 times during the year), and in a city where you really need a car to get around. and ... yeah. harvard.
