I saw a wonderful film last night, Born into Brothels, about a female photographer's efforts at changing the lives of children born to prostitutes in certain red light district in Calcutta. The cause is quite ingenius and inspiring.

ok I need help (anna!) I need to mail my portfolio to this BIG BIG place. i am very excited, anxious and unsure about it. most of my stuff is Print. and its mounted on black matt boards. does anyone have any suggestions for me on how to mail this? any good pointers and such?

close to 100,000 deaths. I am so sad that I dislike anyone who's not given this tragedy a moment's worth of sympathy, let alone done anything about it. we are so far away. please make some sort of donation...anything. and imagine... a dollar goes so much farther there.

I panicked yesterday when I heard the news. When family's so very far away, something like this freaks me out and doesn't even leave me sane enough to check the facts. I think miss J had a good good birthday. I am happy with my choice of restaurant ( tantra )except that we were obviously paying more for the ambience(which by the way was TOTALLY worth it...you have to check it out) than the food which came in bird portions and I so wished I had stopped off at del taco or jack in the box before.
