I had recently moved to Elliot St and was taken back at how not nice the neighborhood was. I befriended the neighbors on both sides anyways, on one side, the entire apartment building. He sounds like he was very important in your life, especially since he has been in your life for so long, through everything. I admire and respect the fact that you had the love to do something so hard as to let him go.

That is one of the deepest things I've ever read. I don't even know you but reading it brought tears to my eyes. I have a cat that is completely attached to me, like my best friend. She follows me EVERYWHERE, sleeps with me every night, not too fond of anybody else though. All I have to do is call her name once and she comes to me right away. Reading your story just touched me so much because I know how it is to have such an amazing friend. i also can relate to the sad part of the story as well. My cat of 19 years had to be put down 2 years ago, it was the hardest thing to ever do. My mom got that cat the same day I was born, I grew up with her. I miss her terribly. My condolences are with you, and my prayers are with Ping Pong, may he forever rest in peace, pain free and with eternal happiness.
