Rather than puppy pictures on my friends list I'd like the servers checked. It took me 11 attempts to get in here because this week my journal is super slow and not loading properly.
I'm a paid & permanent user- aren't we supposed to be on the faster servers?
Seriously, I rarely complain about anything LJ does, but this past week has been brutal- keep the puppies- it's not like we can use/enjoy/appreciate them if we can't even get our services to load in the first place.
I'm with a lot of the users here. These free Vgifts are... fine, but I would much rather have a site that actually -works- for me, especially since I'm paying for it. It took me over 3 minutes just to get this page to load. This is getting ridiculous.
I found it maddening that the Status.livejournal.com page (which is hosted off-site so that it'll still be up when LJ is down) mentioned the site slowness... but then pointed me to an LJ_Maintenance post that's inaccessible due to poor site performance. And, of course, there was no contact info for LJ, so I couldn't e-mail them to ask them what was up. I shouldn't have to rely on vague rumors from Twitter to find out why LJ keeps crashing this month.
I sincerely hope that we'll be compensated with free time, because "free V-Gifts" is not really an acceptable response to "site does not work, LJ staff unavailable for comment".
This is also the time today that I've been able to access the site. I think silly gifts should wait, and you should compensate the paid membership for the poor site performance.
