Harvest Bread

I started baking this weekend for Thanksgiving. I've made this pumpkin bread, which is really rich and is almost like a cake with the chocolate chips and pecans. I also lightly glaze it with a powder sugar/cinnamon icing (optional). You can double the ingredients to make two loaves ( Read more... )

Looks scrumptious. I might try substituting Craisins or blueberries in for the choco chips. 'Tis the Season to be Baking!

Absolutely! I've substituted walnuts for the pecans; taken out the nuts completely.... be creative!

Happy Thanksgiving!

That sounds like an amazing bread, though of course I couldn't eat it because of my current wheat free diet. Besides the Brits don't do canned pumpkin. I tried to do Aloysia's pumpkin bread last year, using fresh pumpkin instead and it was a disaster.
