Yep, they're VERY common. The real miracle is that any of us are born at all. And consider how many women miscarry and never even realize they did ( ... )

I remember my first exposure to anyone I knew having a miscarriage was when i was 23, and the wife of a friend of my husband's miscarried her first pregnancy. I didn't know how to react or what to do, so i sent her tea roses and a "Thinking of you" card. After that, I did some reading into it, and was very surprised to find that 20% of first pregnancies end in miscarriage, for one reason or another. I have a fairly practical mindset, so I shelved it into that "good to know what to expect for when it's my turn" category. I guess what I think is that early miscarriages do happen for a reason, and nature and God make that decision.

My next experience involved rawee1 and her miscarriages. I was very sad for her, and worried ( ... )
