I have strep throat. I can only assume I got it from someone at the concert. The microphone must have been tainted. It got progressively worse over night. I mean I have felt a little sick for the last few days but today I am dying. I woke up all night in pain. I finally grabbed a flashlight and looked for myself. My throat is all nasty and white/

That's horrid. I feel for you. Intensely. I had strep twice in a period of 2 weeks...well perhaps I had strep the whole time, but what I had recurrent were peritonsillar abscesses as a complication from strep. Serious enough to be admitted to the ER immediately. This then lead to the necessity of getting my tonsils removed. This all happened last winter.

Let your boss know if you need to have your tonsils removed you'd be out for at least 2 weeks. What's 1 day compared to that?

My employers made me work even though I had smashed my toe and could barely hobble around. I wore a sandal with no sock on that foot. Apparently, it is a health code violation to wear an open-toed shoe in the kitchen...did they care? Nope.

yeah i am actually feeling worse today. but i have to go in. he let me leave about 2 hours early yesterday which was nice. i had a boss once that wouldn't let me go home after i ripped open my finger bad enough to require stiches. when i finally made it to the er my finger was too swollen to get them. i had to just deal with a bandage for weeks.
