Actions I have hated...I'm haunted.

The Bronze was deserted, you’d think it was an abandoned building if you walked by it now. Except that it looked like one of those party streamer poppers exploded on the inside ( Read more... )

I couldn’t stand it, not anymore. Yeah, sometimes a bloke has bloody crazy dreams, ‘specially when he spends most nights throwing down with a pretty girl but that’s all they are, dreams. Then again that wasn’t really the problem, the problem was that I was having them every, bloody night ( ... )

I bent over the table to try and sink the four ball into the corner pocket. I tried to get better at playing pool but I wasn't all that good at it, it was still fun.

There was a loud noise and I jumped, crying out and dropping my stick onto the floor. Spinning around I looked around to find a place to hide; I didn't want to get into any trouble for being in here and I was far from strong enough to take on a demon.

Thankfully it was only Spike. I sighed and felt myself relax a bit, seeing though that he seemeed upset by the way he kicked in the door and stomped into The Bronze.

"What the hell are you doing here, then pet?"

Blinking out of my shock I looked at him and sighed. "I was going to ask you that." I gave him an amused look, cocking my brow and giving him a look as I opened the top to my soda and taking a sip.

I watched as he grumbled and grabbed a bottle of whiskey before turning back and looking at me. "So..."

"I was going to ask you that." S’pose she was at that, it wasn’t as if either of us had any right to be here. But then again, that was the difference between me and her, I didn’t care about what I had the right to do, she did.

Shrugging off her question, I grabbed a bottle of whiskey from behind the bar and popped the top off. I was going to drown my bloody sorrows and hopefully pass out, instead of sleep so I didn’t have to endure anymore of those bloody dreams.

”So…” I heard her say and I turned around. What did she care? Come to think of it what the hell was she doing here all alone? I would’ve thought she and Red’d be…celebrating. I grinned slightly at the image that thought made in my head before walking over to her.

“So what love?” I asked, looking over the pool table. She wasn’t bad.

I looked up at Spike as he walked over, his eyes glazed a bit for a moment and I couldn't help but roll my eyes slightly. It seemed that most men had one thing on their mind when it came to women and women who sleep with other women.

"So what love?"

"I was wondering what...what you were doing here." I pointed down to the bottle in his hand. "Besides stealing." I watched as he eyed the table behind me, noting how I did and I shrugged, blushing slightly. "I just w-wanted to be alone. -That's all..."

I fished in my pocket for some more quarters, looking down I counted them, realizing I was a bit short. "If you've...if you want we could play a game..." I put the coins on the edge of the table before playing with the chalk cube. "Unless you want to just...go and drown yourself alone or...or whatever you had planned for tonight..."

"W-well... Depends, some...some things you really s-shouldn't suppress...It...it just depends, but... in theory...it can be done…Why?"“Oh this needs suppressing, alright,” I said quickly. “No bloody doubt about that ( ... )

He got quiet and I turned back to take my shot, sending the ball onto the other side and I ended up scratching. I'm so not good at this game. "You're up."

I sighed and headed back to the table, sitting next to him and finishing off my soda and wondering if I could just leave a dollar on the bar and take another bottle.

“It’s just… I’m having some dreams that aren’t quite right, a side effect of the chip I’d wager and I’ve got enough problems. Without bloody unwanted dreams every night. So can you do it?”

Biting my lip I looked over at Spike and sighed. He was skirting around telling me everything and I didn't feel very comfortable about doing a spell and going in blind about it. "Well..." I paused and ran my fingers through my hair. "There are some types of spells but...but I don't feel comfortable d-doing it without...without knowing everything..." I tried to fix my words and make them sound less invasive. "I just...less vague would be better...I don't...I don't want to pry though..."

I laughed bitterly, who was I trying to kid? I couldn’t tell her about the dreams. At the very least she’d laugh, at the worst she’d let it slip to Red who’d tell the rest of the scoobies and before I knew it I’d be a laughing stock. Not that I gave a toss what they bloody thought, but if Buffy found out….oh fucking hell.

“Forget it, there are plenty of bloody witches in this town, probably more powerful than you and ask less questions. I’ll go see one of them.” Yeah, I’m sure I could find a warlock or someone to do the job…yeah…

She looked all bloody offended now, Christ, women! They really were more trouble than they were worth sometimes.

“Want another game?” I asked.

I blinked and looked away, his words hitting me hard thern they normally would. "I..." Tucking my hair away from my face I started to get up and look around for my jacket.

“Want another game?”

"No." I shook my head hard and started moving around the room, unable to remember where I placed my jacket when I came in. I felt his hand wrap around my arm and I pulled away, looking at him through watery eyes. "I won't...I won't do a s-spell without knowing everything I need to know. I c-c-can't." I wrenched my arm from his grip and tried to calm myself down. "I did a spell like that already and look what happened. I nearly hurt my friends!"

Giving up, I sighed and sat back down in the chair and placed my head in my hands, closing my eyes tightly and trying to calm my breathing down. "Sorry..." I whispered, I didn't mean to snap at him or break down like this.
