Age: 17
Height: Extremely average.
Weight: Average, on the side of skinny. He doesn't look emaciated but he really doesn't look like he's much use for any heavy lifting, either.
Medical Info: Is not exactly human. See below.
Eyes: Greyish
Hair: Dark
What's Okay To Mention Around Him/Her: Anything, including fourth wall breaks. He's SHAFT.
Physical traits: Is an ex-vampire, proven by two puncture wound scars on his neck. Normally hidden a little, they're quite obvious from time to time, especially as he'll rub at them when worried or concerned. He claims he's human whenever possible, but there's several things in the abilities section that go way beyond that, so feel free to interpret as you'd like.
Abilities: Bakemonogatari is notoriously tight-lipped about what Araragi can actually do, not helped by his lying about his capabilities almost every time he's asked.
- He heals phenomenally fast; bone and skin will knit back together before your eyes, if you care to watch, and he's recovered in less than a day from such things as having his guts pulled out to be swung around by them or having multiple limbs broken.
- He is largely able to see 'oddities', though is usually better at detecting malignant ones; curses, spirits, ghosts and the like. This appears to be tied into his being a malignant 'oddity' himself for a while; he has trouble seeing a crab god, for instance, and I suspect that's because a) it's a god and out of his league and b) it wasn't trying to be harmful, per se.
- He's able to gain the powers (in the generic sense - speed, strength) of a vampire for a while by letting one feed on him. If he himself drinks blood about once a month, he gets some additional benefits - further enhanced vision is the only one that's been really mentioned. Both of these facts, and his ex-vampire-ness, kind of suggest to me that he is incapable of being turned back into a full vampire, at least on a permanent basis.
Notes for the Psychics/Magically or Spiritually sensitive: Araragi is usually thinking about something. He doesn't space out with an empty head easily, so there's always something there to pick up. He's not smart but he is getting more savvy about the spirit world; go deeper and you'll find a dramatically large streak of self-hatred and general ennui emo. He's a normal kid, however, so place him next to Senjougahara and you'll get a lot of 'hey, sup, girls' on top.
Can I shapeshift/bodyswap/spit at/step on/etc?: Absolutely.
Hugging/kissing/other non-violent physical contact: Absolutely, just mind the staples.
Maim/Murder/Death: I'd appreciate a heads up first. Murder and Death I'm likely to say 'no' to, but every single person in canon is so used to Araragi getting maimed on a regular basis that that's no problem.
Cooking: Rudimentary.
Random Notes: Bakemonogatari is a SHAFT series that loves to use strange imagery or bizarre camera angles and extreme close-ups. As such, icons might be a little weird at times - a single eye, or the black/red icons, or his ahoge reacting to exasperated he is. Don't think about it too hard. He'll do the Kyon-style narrating in the subject line, if applicable.
Poll: As stated above, Araragi can sense and see 'oddities', i.e. supernatural things. He's better at seeing the bad stuff, and seems to have problems seeing purely spiritual things, and I'm pretty sure that anything physical i.e. aliens or usual physiology just won't count; thus, would you ping him?
