I am so good at and burn with passion to do Gods work. But Im awful at just knowing Him. Just stopping to pray and fellowship with Him. I mean Im being hard on myself, Im not awful at it, but I just have much more zeal to work His works than to sit and home and pray all the time. Why is it easier for me to DO for God than it is to KNOW Him? ( Read more... )

YES.

i know just how this is. i can be so moving & passionate & tell people & it helps them and i can encourage and teach.

but i find it difficult to consistently stay connected *personally* with god through my personal time with him. it is easily my biggest struggle right now.

I can compare it to this: I have a lot easier of a time trying to help people physically, when sometimes all they want is to be heard.

I know how you feel though, obviously.

yeah it does compare to that. "Doing" rather than "having relationship with."
