quick. give me reasons why the death penalty should stand. i'm writing a paper and i gots writer's block. pleeeease help

because then we dont have to pay taxes toward living expenses of prisoners who will never get out...

the death penalty offsets the precedent that no matter how harsh the crime the punishment will never be as bad. Such as murder in most states nowadays the death penalty is not used yet those states have a ,uch higher percentage of crimes which would be in fact punishable by the death penalty. So to deter crime one must sometimes hsow that for the punishment will be just as harsh if not more so then the crime. Jail time is a great idea yet the correctional facilities do little of rehabilitating criminals and more of just housing them for prolonged periods of time where they have access to a a vast network of criminals. I am not saying that jailis a vast network of criminal conspiracy but it can be and probably is for many illegal organizations. I propose that the death penalty should be instated on the fact alone that fear is a mighty weapon when used in the right ways.
