He's a duckling, all timid & small, a newborn baby duckling that is mine, that was given to me & I love him I love him so much
but it's so hard to take care of such a fragile thing
I worry that one wrong move will break him
That if I'm not strong enough, I'll lose the energy needed to keep him safe with me

not as seperate things, not by their identity but as this mass entity of "japaneseness" that is in every one of them

Last night I slept through the night but today I woke up at 4, & I was all ready to go back to sleep but the sun rises at 5 & I couldn't resist going outside to take pictures, so then after that I was completely awake & if Sarah's apartment had Internet I'd upload the pictures but I only have my phone until Friday.

I picked up Tuffy's ashes today. It felt good to get him home, even in a different form. It was probably just the pulse of my own fingers clenched around each other, but while I was holding the bag of ashes I swear I felt a heartbeat. i don't have any desire or motivation to do anything except go to japan so that i can start going to school & try to make headway in life
i don't want to go to new york
i don't feel happy that i'm in a relationship
