Title: On That Midnight Street
Author: painted_ship
Pairing(s): Martin Crieff/ Molly Hooper
Rating: R overall, PG for now
Warnings: Fluff, Angst. More fluff. Smut on the horizon. Crossover with the Sherlock universe.
Disclaimer: I own nothing in either of the universes that I’m shamelessly smushing together for my own (and hopefully your) amusement.

Now that I've calmed down a little, I want to say that I really like the way you're writing Molly - there's still the awkwardness and the insecurity but she comes across very mature on certain things (ie. Sherlock and his ways).
And the lie at the end - oh boy! For someone who tends to panic-lie, I just know how she's feeling!

I don't really buy into Molly as a complete idiot. Apart from anything else, as r_scribbles points out below, she's a doctor: she's not stupid. She might be a little naive in some ways and lacks the gritty life experience of other Sherlock characters, but sweet cheerfulness should not be confused with stupidity.

But I agree, having updated the stories and added the female characters, they ought to be doing something a bit more interesting than swooning/bitching/playing ditsy. I'm holding out high hopes for Irene Adler, especially as she can't be wheeled out as Sherlock's love interest (again).

And poor Molly and Martin. I don't blame her for feeling a tad cautious and such. I mean, getting burned like with Sherlock has got to hurt an awful lot. I just feel bad that Martin's the collateral damage in that mess.
Also, I also like Sally too. But I often get the feeling that people forget -- this Sherlock is decidedly unlikable. He starts out as a jerk and well, slightly improves?
Admittedly, this is where I miss a certain warmth of Jeremy Brett, but that's just me.

Hooray for appreciation of Sally, too. Sherlock can indeed be horrendously unlikeable. Bizarrely it seems to be this which fascinates us, John and, sadly, Molly.
