Oh Molly, let me cuddle you! And you too Martin! And then slip out so you two are cuddling each other!

Thank you for the update!

Yes, well, I just got really excited when I saw that there was an update!

Now that I've calmed down a little, I want to say that I really like the way you're writing Molly - there's still the awkwardness and the insecurity but she comes across very mature on certain things (ie. Sherlock and his ways).

And the lie at the end - oh boy! For someone who tends to panic-lie, I just know how she's feeling!

Thank you!
I don't really buy into Molly as a complete idiot. Apart from anything else, as r_scribbles points out below, she's a doctor: she's not stupid. She might be a little naive in some ways and lacks the gritty life experience of other Sherlock characters, but sweet cheerfulness should not be confused with stupidity.

Donovan gets a bad reputation in a lot of fics, but I kind of like her. She has a lot to deal with. Also, you'd be in a bad mood if you were dating Anderson. Cut her some slack, fandom!

Ahem. Thank you for reading, of course. :-)

The women of Sherlock do tend to get horribly pigeon-holed into 'types', certainly. I suppose part of it is a result of having, necessarily, two strong male leads and an originally Victorian canon where most of the action was carried out by men, punctuated with the occaisonal damsel.
But I agree, having updated the stories and added the female characters, they ought to be doing something a bit more interesting than swooning/bitching/playing ditsy. I'm holding out high hopes for Irene Adler, especially as she can't be wheeled out as Sherlock's love interest (again).

OMG DOUGLAS. YOU BETTER HAVE A PLAN.

And poor Molly and Martin. I don't blame her for feeling a tad cautious and such. I mean, getting burned like with Sherlock has got to hurt an awful lot. I just feel bad that Martin's the collateral damage in that mess.

Also, I also like Sally too. But I often get the feeling that people forget -- this Sherlock is decidedly unlikable. He starts out as a jerk and well, slightly improves?

Admittedly, this is where I miss a certain warmth of Jeremy Brett, but that's just me.

Douglas always has a plan. He's Douglas!

Hooray for appreciation of Sally, too. Sherlock can indeed be horrendously unlikeable. Bizarrely it seems to be this which fascinates us, John and, sadly, Molly.

They cunningly got the vulnerability of "really? that's not what people usually say" (almost certainly a misquote) in early, so that we would warm to him a bit. Otherwise...

Oooh, Douglas you better have some kind of scheme in your head! I have as much faith in you as Arthur does!

Oh, Molls! A spa sounds nice...

The question is: is your opinion of Douglas as high as Douglas' opinion of Douglas...

Thank you for reading!

Hooray for Molly being a 3D character. Do like her thought about John & Sherlock occupying their own world. Reject Sherlock's fake flirting, Molly! Worry rather about her being in Dublin when that's where Moriarty (or at least his actorial form) is from...
