Denied us because of my fear?
I’m not queer.
Oh, Coop the power of your hands to gather up pain

Couldn’t see
Beyond the darkness of everyone’s hate. Now I do
and it’s too late to save us.
Ever thus
alone without your touch, your smile, your heart to guide me
except in my dreams, which haunt.
I still want
to hold you, to hear your laugh, to drink with you the joy
we found in moments, so few.
I miss you.
Everyone knows now, Coop, no more need to hide behind
the mask worn these lonely years.
And the tears.
