It had happened with my father a couple of years back except it was his credit card; several thousands were spent in Miami. He's never been to Florida.

It's not your fault; its not like you handed over your card and said "Go have a party at my expense!". I understand how it feels to be vunlerable. It stinks. My purse was stolen (with cards in it) 2 years ago. (The culprits were actaully trying to take my car but failed...my wallet was their consolation prize. :( ) I also had no problem getting those charges reversed.

this kind of stuff happens all the time especially back East. A few months ago, someone in Maryland charged $600 on Anthony's credit card.
