Comments: free write. i think i broke jaesuchun.

jaejoong’s in the hallway with the gaudy clothes and the conversation pouring in from 360° and he can see junsu standing by himself in the kitchen from here and it’s funny how empty he feels; all these people brush his shoulders; how it’s junsu who isn’t alone.

if he thought a little harder he’d understand,
but hangovers start early when you’re dried out and scared.

yoochun kisses him to the beat of a bass drum at a concert they won’t remember the name of, they’re only there because no one wants them to be there and that’s where (junsu isn’t).

jaejoong has (been avoiding) two more (confrontations) minutes before he has to leave.

they had woken up to the sound of the radio. it was a beautiful day by the seaside, but they weren’t in san francisco. yoochun had said ‘I have my keys’ and junsu had laughed, open-mouthed, and after the pancake breakfast they left for good. jaejoong sang his own acapella in the backseat, held junsu’s callused hand against the thigh of his jeans, and somewhere inbetween ‘o’ and ‘a’ his vocal chords snapped.

(it was messy and it was fast the first time but it didn’t matter)

the cassette tape jams on the fourth track. ‘this is so old school’ jaejoong complains, and yoochun accidentally elbows him in the rib trying to press the pause button. ‘we could,’ and the rest of his sentence is drowned out by the lady behind them laying on the car horn. yoochun was three lanes over and he swerved slow and easy, gave her a smile, and left the salvaging of the cassette tape to jaejoong.

junsu sleeps light and he hears everything, he just chooses not to listen.

they refuse to set junsu down when they get to beach and he screams at them, high-pitched and half-whine until jaejoong’s getting some sort of guilty pleasure; yoochun can read him like a mirror and he drops his hands; junsu goes falling and when his foot first touches the sand the look on his face makes jaejoong’s head hurt.

identity is more than this.

junsu never really told him when it started, (yoochun says you are stupid) when he realized they could never (and you can’t) relate (believe you always) because hyung is hyung and it was (know all the facts) all just an accident in the first place.

but yoochun is a cynical bastard and he moves out and he leaves jaejoong alone with an extra bed and junsu.
(it was angry and it broke bones in his heart but he)

the cd skips and he hits the off button.

on the beach, they didn’t tell anyone their names and their faces all looked the same in the daylight, none older, none younger, no bones picked dry and no bleeding hearts.

the first one to point out the cliché is the last one to the finish line.
yoochun never talked.
