ok ok so She had gnarled fingers and her couch had smelled like wine, and she patted him on the head and called Edward her favorite. THESE TINY LITTLE DETAILS THAT REALLY MAKE SLEDGE COME ALIVE AAAAAA they are seriously my favorite and you've scattered them all in here and I LOVE IT. and i love snafu's voice, especially at the beginning where you have literally captured him ENTIRELY in the first paragraph--like i was like YES I REMEMBER SNAFU and then you were perfectly consistent the rest of the fic and klajsdfa. AND THEN. Eugene hardly ever thinks of Snafu as Shelton, and never as Merriel, a name too proper for the man who wields a knife with ease and sits, shirtless and covered in grime, on any dirty surface like he’s king of the world. IDK I JUST REALLY LIKE THIS LINE, I TOTALLY SAW SNAFU WITH THAT SMIRK AND THE OIL BARRELS, YEAH ( ... )

I loved Snafu sitting against the door as if he expects Eugene to DIE in there if he isn't there. And Eugene crying. Gawd.

after i wrote it, i was thinking: what the hell is going through snafu's head as he's sitting here against the door like, listening to eugene bathe. well, really, what the hell is ever really going through snafu's head? (SUCH A FASCINATING CHARACTER, UGH.)

OK, that was where I started making an "awww!" face, and that basically was my expression the entire time. I LOVE THIS. He's all protective and edgy and fatalistic and asdsja;fa;sfna THESE TWO ARE MY FAVORITE OF ALL OF THE PEOPLE. ZOMG. ♥ You capture their voices and the tone perfectly. Love it.
