I really am curious to what sanctity the religious right is trying to protect. A lot more than half of married people get divorced, or live together unhappily. affairs have almost become a norm of marriage. and before our time... marriages were planned, usually between a 12-14 year old girl and an older man.... in all cases marriage has really ( Read more... )

the history of the world is a struggle between classes. The proletariat and the bourgeoisie

the communist manifesto, yes...i have ranting about that all year

gender is never an issue for love, nor should it ever be...the gay lifestyle is the same as the straight one, their interaction with one another hurts us in no way so we should have no say about it. they love who they love no matter the gender or any other common denominators. Those who cannot accept gay marriage(which affects them in no way what so ever)simply cannot accept themselves in a sense.

ok im done

::ahem:: christianity is for the most part followed completely blindly, which is what allows it to be so full of people with nonsensical, hypocritical ideas about "morality" and how the rest of us should be living our lives.

if legal homosexual marriages taint the sanctity OF marriage...then they need to be consistant and make divorce illegal as well.

not to mention the fact that according to the creation story, adam and eve's children would have had to have sex with one another - OR adam and eve - to reproduce. so basically the bible says we are all a product of incest. and how many christians have ever addressed this issue or even given this glitch in the story a second though? i'd say one in a million.

of course, i don't think that is what she was saying, more along the lines of... well if there was incest then... than arn't we all performing incest now? ... if it is an inherited sin... than we would all be going to hell because in reality we are all fucking within the same bloodline...

sorry to answer before you could johanna, i just think along the same lines... and i am also just an asshole who always puts their word in.

I LOVE GIRLS ! hahaha. yeah i love this. its great. kyle runyon, good job for your debate. i also agree with you of course. afterall, i am 1/2 gay. i think people misinterpret a gay relationship. some people will go and say that AIDS is mostly gay people(not true.) and even that we need to recreate blah blah, dont you complain about population problems anyway ? all im saying is, people dont understand the extent of a homosexual relationship. its more then a girlfriend/boyfriend, its a deeper bond sharing the same sex, and also a best friend. anyway, im not trying to piss people off with this because thats all livejournal seems to do. just a thought.

I agree with you, marriage has degraded itself, and if i'm not mistaken, that was one of the key things that led to the fall of the great roman empire. why degrade marriage anymore? this doesn't just have to do with christianity, its a legal matter as well. and 72% of our country is christian (not saying the other 30% do not matter) but majority rules ulitmately, that might suck, but its how society works, this matter has nothing to do with being a bible thumper or a conservative, its just common sense, if we want complete equal rights for marriage, then let people marry books, cats, dogs whatever they want, i have absolutely no problem with gay people, i'm christian, however i do not think they should get married. anyways, if you wanna talk more about this, or debate on me with this, ill be glad to WOWFORYOUX(aim) i have non-christian facts and info to back everything up.

don't take my entire post as directed toward you (though you did inspire it)... we both know that there are people who think that the world is overpopulated, i was not necessarily saying you said it... you don't have to repeat it 100 times... i never made that assumption about you.
