Well it looks like we’re hitchhiking.
It’s been a couple months since I did the lost recap, but no I haven’t forgotten or stopped. I just shifted to doing other stuff. But I will watch and recap with picspam the whole show even if it takes me a few years…and it likely will.
Anyways today’s is number 21 - The Goodbye Girl. The season is rushing to a close and everything is building because in a few more episodes we have the season finally and those are always fun.

So we left off last time with Ryan and Theresa being impulsive and young and kissing. We’ll now it’s the next(?) day and Ryan’s already told Seth when the two are getting ready for school. Ryan and Seth really do seem to tell each other everything, it’s odd when one doesn’t tell the other, even if you don’t go for slash they are still great friends/brothers really.
Anyways getting to school gets more complicated when both Theresa and Marissa show up to given them rides to school
But after this massive moment of awkward the two end up without any rides because Marissa insults Theresa and then feels bad about it so they both just want out of there so no rides from Ryan’s girlfriends for them.
But then this very cute scene happens. Sandy and Kirsten see both Theresa and Marissa and start asking Ryan about it and Ryan in true Attwood form doesn’t really say anything, Seth says it all for him. It’s great really, and Sandy even comments on it. it’s just great really. No caps because really it’s just Ryan standing there and that may be nice to look at but…why didn’t I cap it? I can’t remember…
Now I want to take a moment here and talk about Harbor. This is a school right? And yet no one ever seems to be in class all that much, they seem to spend all their time in the halls, lounge (they have a student lounge? Really?) or in the parking lot
That’s seems to be Ryan’s choice today. But even beyond all that, security sucks.
It’s a school for rich kids, some very rich kids and they don’t hide that fact and yet anyone seemed to be able to get on school grounds like Theresa above and Eddie below
(side note here, that book Ryan's reading he said it's about the Spanish Inquisition, but RYan and Luke did a project about that last fall...they're covering it again?) And Eddie even kind of attacked one of the students and how showed up? An older heavy set guy. A guy that Eddie could have taken out in a single punch. Have these people ever heard of Kidnapping? (you know that’s one plot idea I don’t think they ever used…but I’m not sure) But anyways Harbor has crappy security but that seems to be a Newport thing as Eddie also gets into the party later no problem
And this is Caleb’s man of the year party.
Lucky for Caleb Eddie isn’t there for him he’s there for Theresa. A Theresa who Marissa got dressed up
In a moment of girl bonding. And she does look nice Ryan thinks so too

Anyways given that Ryan slept with Theresa
and Eddie knows that Ryan slept with his fiancé the party doesn’t go well at that point. I don’t have caps of it because action caps are very hard and never turn out right but I will say two things. First, Newport needs better tables, really the tables they have suck. You bump into them to hard and they fall down. Second Luke to the rescue (and doesn’t he look hot in that suit)
As soon as he sees Ryan in trouble he jumps in and holds the guy back, after Ryan get’s punched into the pool but he tried. And he and Jimmy kick Eddie out of the party.
I do find it amusing that Jimmy’s helping Luke given that just moments before he’s told Julie that she couldn’t possible be in a relationship with Luke
Because he couldn’t have seen Luke flirting with Julie and Julie couldn’t have been flirting back
Luke doesn’t do stealth very well. Julie said she has no idea what Jimmy is talking about but Jimmy isn’t fooled.
But anyways after the party ends Ryan takes Seth to the air port to stop Anna from leaving, but since the writers have no use for Anna any more Seth’s pleads are in vain and Anna heads back to the east cost. We’ll miss her.
Anyways after that Ryan stops by Theresa’s only she left. She just can’t take a Newport party it seems so Ryan and Seth eat pizza and complain about being alone and needing more Seth/Ryan time(Seth’s words) but then Seth remembers he’s bi and has Summer so Ryan said he’ll just have to spend time with Luke…I like Luke/Ryan time.
Before I go I just want to share one more moment a Luke moment
Luke plays the guitar. We’ve seen it in his room before but I think this is the first time we’ve seen a sober Luke using one, he’s not bad.
