If your happy you’re not working hard enough

So it’s been to long but here I am episode 23, we’re into the end of the season only four more to go.
Previous Part

Okay first off this episode has two main plots, the Nana plot and the aftermath of Luke/Julie.

So we start with Ryan and Luke, I like this episode already,

They just spent all night together…looking for Marissa who ran out after just finding out about Luke and RyanJulie because Luke can’t keep his mouth shut.
Anyways after they look all over town they meet back at the pool house, it’s like a club house some times, to see if Seth heard anything from his naming the phones. He was asleep and didn’t but Julie shows up

And say what you will about her as a mother but she knows her kid enough to know that when you can’t find her see Ryan. Of course in this case he can’t help her. But I like how she orders Luke and Seth out so we can talk with Ryan, note it’s the 16 year old Ryan and not the 18 year old Luke she turns too. But anyways they fight over Marisa again, and it becomes a race who can find her first.
Ryan wins

Because Marissa runs to Theresa, yeah who saw that coming, and Joy it’s Theresa and Eddie’s engagement party…and Ryan shows up…Eddie has his boys make it clear that Ryan’s not welcome

And there is one more not in the photo…Ryan’s white knight think will get him killed some day. But today he just gets shoved to the ground and his arm scraped up, over Marissa.
Ryan doesn’t let this stop him so he’s still around trying to get Marissa to get back home with him and at first it doesn’t work but then Luke showed up. He and Ryan face off because Ryan knows that he and Marissa should meet right now but then Marissa walked out of the house and sees Luke

She slaps’ him, hard. And then tells him off, Go Marissa.
But then for some reason he stays at the party because later then Ryan, Marissa, Eddie and Theresa are talking Eddie comments on Luke’s face as he’s looking off camera…like he’s looking at Luke’s slapped face…whatever.
But after all this Marissa is willing to come home, not for Luke or Julie but for Jimmy his sister, Ryan and Summer. But she won’t stay at her mothers. Something Julie doesn’t like but Ryan backs Marissa

And is it any wonder that Ryan and Julie hate each other for the next couple of years, really?

But anyways that’s most of the aftermath, for this episode anyways

And now Nana plot since the episode is named for her.

So Seth and Ryan come in from the club house to find that Hailey has made breakfast

And really it makes me think of episode one all over again only it’s Hailey and no Ryan cooking, Kirsten may be the only one in the family that can’t cook.
But Kirsten no more the sits down and Sandy starts rounding up all the non-Jewish bread from the house. The Nana is coming and she’s super Jewish and it’s Passover.

Kirsten and Sandy fight over the pancakes, they must be good.
Anyways their all bracing for The Nana who is mean and sharp tongued. And Seth even warns Summer to hide and not show up during the First night of Passover because it’s the Seder and Summer, like me has no idea what Seth is talking about

She, not like me, decides to learn everything she can as fast as she can. She does great given it’s only one day.
But anyways Sandy is about to go and pick up the Nana, no one wants to go with him. When She arrives early

It scares them all. But what happens next really freaks them out
She said nice things to all of them Hugs Ryan

And said she loves the house and west cost, in all…she’s nice
This freaks them all out and Sandy is determined to get to the bottom of it. he does

She had cancer, stage four. And she’s not planning to fight it.
Sandy and the Nana fight over it, he wants her to fight. Seth over hears one of these fights

And then Seth and the Nana have a heart to heart over it

And I have to say they both make good points, she wants to enjoy the last few months of her life and not have everyone walking on eggshells and Seth wants his Nana for as long as he can. Then Kirsten trys her shot using The Guilt

And something worked because The Nana said she’s going to fight it

Sandy is happy as am I…but I don’t remember what happens…
Anyways Then it’s time for Seder Dinner
And everyone comes, less Luke and Julie

And Ryan called Newport home over Chino again.

But one last thing Seth has Surf boards

Two of them and they looked used and his isn’t the by used family so…now I want him and Luke teaching Ryan to surf
