Band of Brothers: Other Pairing Drabbles
Title: Nothing Matters when We’re Dancing.
Word Count: 109
Characters/Pairings: Nixon/Grace
Rating: G
Author's Notes: I hope you love it. It’s from the song of the same name by Magnetic Fields.
Your dress is glowing in the moon light, changing the ivory into a soft golden glow. We’re the only ones in a room of hundreds as we meet across the dance floor. I hold out my hand and you take it, your glow covering my dark suit, giving it its own glow, depending on you, just like me. We take the middle of the room and the music starts. As the strings fill the air I step forward and you retreat, and we’re gliding across the room. I’ve never felt like this, and when we stop for a waltz pose I can barely say it, “I love you Grace.”
Magnetic Fields
Dance with me my old friend once before we go Let's pretend
this song won't end and we never have to go home and we'll
dance among the chandeliers And nothing matters when we're
dancing In tat or tatters you're entrancing Be we in Paris
or in Lansing nothing matters when we're dancing You've never been
more beautiful your eyes like two full moons than here in this
poor old dancehall among the dreadful tunes the awful songs
we don't even hear...
Title: The day

Characters/Pairings: more than one.
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Hope you like it.
Bells were ringing across the world from London to Moscow, Amsterdam to Cape Town, Sidney to Berchtesgaden.
Two men, opposite in every way looked out from their baloney onto the city crowded with men, and filled with light poring from every window and held each others.
A dark haired man sat and watched as his Lieutenant and Sergeant lined up the empty champagne bottles vying for his attention, Jealousy is nice he thought as he cocked his gun.
A red haired man sat alone outside the party watched and remembered those not there as he pulled out a charred rosary.
Title: Christmas
Word Count: 86
Characters/Pairings: Joe Liebgott/ David Webster
Rating: G
Author's Notes: Hope you like it.
“Merry Christmas and Currahee”
“Currahee,” David Webster cheered with the rest of the room from his place on the edge of the room watching the whole battalion, or who hadn’t left on the Christmas furlough yet anyway.
“Got’ah smoke?”
David turned to see a tall lanky man standing next to him. David fished out a cigarette and handed it over, “So what company are you with?”
“Easy, name’s Joe Liebgott you?” the man, Joe, asked before lighting up the cigarette.
“David, David Webster, I’m with Headquarters.”
Title: Looking Back
Challenge: Regrets
Word Count: 120
Characters/Pairings: Any
Rating: PG
I have many regrets. Most people do when they look back over their life no matter what they say. It’s a part of life; you have to make choices. No one can be happy with all their choices but you move on and live with them. As I look over my life only a few stand out. One of them is over 40 years old but I’ll never stop regretting it. I let fear make my choice for me; I let it keep me from doing what I wanted to do. It kept me from telling him what I felt, what I still feel. And that is my greatest regret. That he died never knowing that I returned his feeling.
Title: elendar’s birthday
Word Count: 111
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairings: Bull/Johnny
Bull looked okay, he’s even acting okay. He’s acting like he didn’t just spend the night hiding and fighting for his life behind German lines. Like he didn’t have to kill a man with his bayonet, something few of them have done but he’s done it twice. Bull is not okay and Johnny knows it, he can tell by the little things, the way Bull is smoking his cigars and not just holding it in his mouth, it’s the way he won’t talk about it, not even to him. But that’s okay, as long as Bull still lets him hold him at night and tell him he never really stands alone.

BBBUUUUULLLLLLLLLLLL…
The rest of the world vanished in that one moment, all he could see was a tank, a fucking British Tank, heading straight for the trench…straight for Bull. And he was to far away to help…to far a way to do anything at all.
They said it was just for fun, just a way to blow off steam, get some release. No felling, no emotions, just sex. But it wasn’t, if it was they wouldn’t have stayed together last night talking about this fucking mess. And he wouldn’t have laid there watching Bull smoke his cigar…the things that man can do…could do.
Those Fucking Kraut Bastards!

“How the hell did they find all this stuff over here?” Malarkey asked as he took in the table before him.
“Well I don’t care I’m just going to eat all of it I can stuff in my mouth,” Skip shouted as he salivated at the table.
“Do that and you won’t leave any for the rest of us,” Luz cut in as he slipped into the chair next to Malarkey.
“Come on my mouth isn’t that large,” Skip objected.
“It was when I stuffed it last night,” Penkala said as he sat down next to Skip with a smile.
