It had been a normal day, nothing special. He was woken up by Jason getting out of bed at some point just after midnight like normal; Andy still hadn’t given up trying to dissuade him from remaining with the force by giving him the graveyard shift. So that was normal, it was normal for Jason to make noise making breakfast, and to have to return to the bedroom at least four times before he left the house. So Jason saying sorry was normal, him saying sorry love you in his automatic not really thinking voice, wasn’t normal. That was special.
