Characters/Pairings: Ben, Bryant and John
Ben shifted in his seat as he looks down at his lunch, chicken pasta, before looking back up at his partner, partners.
Both Bryant and John are sitting together at the bar, talking…about him given all the looks over their shoulders.
John was his partner, his only partner, the Dewey/Chickie thing didn’t even last a night, but Bryant, he’s lasted all week and still going.
And he’s not bad, but he likes being called Boot more then Pup. And John was letting him drive. And John need’s someone to keep an eye on him…he needed to get back to John.

N/A: Part of Pup and Trainer, So I watched Southland (4X04 Identity aka the one from two weeks ago) and I wrote a drabble; it goes with my other Southland stories.
*He shot a dog, it was so sad and now I know Sammy is a dog/puppy person. And I loved that Ben even said he thought Sammy already had a dog. It makes my story even better subtext. I can’t want to see the rest and get caught up which I should this week.
“I just miss my dog.”
“If you want a new dog there are easier ways to get on, you didn’t need to shoot one,” Ben answered from his spot next to him.
“Yeah I know, I just…I didn’t realize how much I missed him,” Bryant answered back sadly.
“We could hit the pound this weekend.”
“We?” Bryant asked raising his eyebrow at Ben’s offer.
“Well we’d have to make your dog got along with yo-your pup,” Ben explained slid onto all fours before Bryant.
“That’s smart thinking pup,” Bryant smiled as he reached forward and ruffed his grinning pup’s hair.
