I saw this on herosite.net because I still follow ksitetv.com on twitter:

EXCLUSIVE: Prepare for some news that may shock Heroes fandom in a good way.
As what might be a sign of NBC's sagging fortunes, HeroSite.net has learned exclusively that NBC is planning on returning Heroes to the schedule this Fall. The official announcement is expected to be made soon.

Our source who wishes to remain anonymous tells us that while creator Tim Kring will be on as a consultant, his contract with FOX's Touch will prohibit him from full time participation. Casting breakdowns that we have found reveal an almost entirely new cast with only one or two holdovers from the original series, and feelers are out for a "major star" to act as the new series lead. The new show is said to take place five years after the Heroes fourth season finale where Claire Bennet revealed her abilities to the world. Now, some of the "heroes" are loved. Some are hated. Some have gone into hiding.

Because this is treated like an additional season to the established show, which ended in 2010, Heroes is not expected to go through the usual pilot process and will go right into production with a guaranteed Fall 2012 order of at least 13 episodes. What we're also not being told is which creative people are involved with the revival. Most of the Heroes staff - both in front of and behind the camera - have moved on to newer and better things. There are some names being bounced around as being interested in producing a revival, including director Kevin Smith, famed archer Clint Barton, and Heroes' own Zachary Quinto and Milo Ventimiglia - but at this point those could just be considered to be rumors for now.

It is also expected that the initial arc might involve finding the original Heroes from the 2006-2010 series. Kind of a "save the Heroes, save the world" kind of deal.
