I finally found a gift to send to Uncle Rick to help him get through chemo--I just ordered him a travel mug emblazoned with "fuck cancer" across it.  I found it cheering; I hope he will, too.

I started the novel Remains of the Day last night; I should be done with it this evening.  It's on the MA reading list, and is a delightful change from Adorno

Yes, Poison was unexpected and weird. But watching Bret Michaels having a run-in with the scenery made it all worthwhile....
