Tomorrow will suck

Last night I was thinking about how three years ago yesterday one of my students was killed in a car wreck.  Tonight I get the call that I'm going to have to report to one of the other middle schools in the town i work in. A 7th grader got killed by a garbage truck on his way home from school. I am unfortunately uniquely qualified to help out with

I'm so sorry that tomorrow will suck. I'm also sorry that you are doubting yourself. I know you'll be up to the task and you'll be helpful. You are incredibly good at what you do and I am positive that will happen tomorrow as well.

You might not be able to let it roll off like you usually do, I have a feeling that could be harder now. But you will be a huge source of comfort to a lot of people. And you will do good work.

Thinking so much of this poor boy's family and friends. And you too.
