My dad just left after a wonderful visit. It was the most time we've concentratedly spent together in many years and it was great. I feel like it was a great way to have a vacation, and I really like hanging out with Alex and my dad. Beyond that, I am also awaiting a response from the interview I had in Baltimore last week. I really want that job, and I should have heard back yesterday if anything is going to happen with it.
Today, however, is my weekend. So Briana and I are going to the Dallas Museum of Art, and we're going to drop by one of my old theatres.
I've been on a non-fiction kick myself lately, and I've been reading some great books. The Tao of Pooh, Phantoms in the Brain, and How to Break a Terrorist. All these have been part of research I'm doing for a fiction piece I've been working on: Age of Identity.
I'm trying to find little things to be happy about since I'm not getting any of the big things so far.

glad to hear about the wonderfuls in your life. My parents are coming out in a couple weeks and I'm trying to figure out "activities" for the visit - though I'm sure I'm over thinking it.
