Two plants booking or two books blooming.

Two of my terrarium plants are blooming: a Rex Begonia and an african violet. This is my first time getting indoor plants to bloom, ever. *excitement* This is actually going to be my first Rex Begonia bloom ever. I finally have a way to keep them happy and out of lil' Amelia's predatory jaws!

Dave's mom just gave us a potted African Violet. It's fun to care for, and so pretty. She says it may spawn more... we'll see.

She's an older woman and is amazingly sincere, kind, patient, and intelligent. She reminds me of some of my older female hispanic relatives -- sharp old matriarchs. Forces of nature. The only downside so far is that the televisions suspended over the dentist chairs often have Fox News on, though you can ask them to change it to whatever you want.

Have you ever seen Trekkies? There is a dentist in that documentary that has decked out his office in Star Trek-ness....to the hardcore extreme....you could have ended up there! Maybe they could have just used the transporter to remove your plaque.

If an African violet blooms somewhere don't move it. That is my experience. Same with orchids. Yay! That is such a great feeling though. I am hoping to grow my first tomato myself.
