53. Beatrice Porn from 1902 very good but full of what would bother most folks with modern sensibilties. Not for those new to porn of the era.
54. The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde. Via Audiobook but done in one long day for a refresher.

I've been pretty dissatisfied with my non-academic career of late. We discussed what bugged me, and it all really boiled down to the interminable weeks of daily intense concentration I have to endure broken up by maybe one or two vacations a year.
Academia is starting to sound ideal, what with the mandatory three month break every year, the ever-changing rhythm of the semester, somewhat greater freedom to choose what to work on, and opportunity to be around bright people. It's that long and arduous path you describe that's put me off from seeking that route. I really admire those that can successfully get through a PhD program. I'm fairly sure I don't have the mental stamina for it.
