Besides, you're intelligent, not just smart. Any academia-infatuated dildo with enough time on their hands can memorize dates, facts, numbers and texts to prepare for a test, and they'll probably get 100% on it, too. But being able to actually apply all information to your every-day life, to reflect on it and base your own opinions on it, that's something not everyone can do. And that's one big advantage you have over a lot of the other kids applying to Berkeley. From our conversations, and some of my conversations with Andrew, you really do seem like an insightful and independent person. So guess what that means? You're exactly what colleges are looking for!

You can always transfer, (as a sophomore I believe) or even go to graduate school there.
I would highly suggest applying to school similar in nature, too.
Good luck, love.

No matter what, you're going to love college. It is 905705743097 times better than high school :)

I'm thinking of applying as a transfer there, too! Or somewhere. We'll see.
Honestly, college 'reputations' and crap are just that-- reputations.
What comes out of it is simply what you make of it.
I had to do plenty of soul-searching with this as I really wanted to go to schools like Columbia, Scripps, UCLA, Berkeley-etc and definitely had no means of getting into them.
Don't give up, whatever you do. I aced all my classes my last semester at Helix and it boosted my confidence. That's all it did, but it was worth it.
