Ah. Break.
I've been incredibly lazy as of late. I'd planned to accomplish a lot more this week before my housemates and boyfriend left town for the holiday. But I must say, I'm enjoying the house to myself while my laundry finishes.
Now I need to...
-Finish, fold and put away my laundry
-Pack for California
-Clean my bathroom
-Deliver Christmas gifts to Deirdre and Julie
-Run into work, and talk to my boss
Matt made me the most incredible dinner last night. Seafood Fettacini, salad, garlic bread and pinot grigio. It felt great to dine like the hip and articulate 20-somethings we are. After dinner, I gave him the poetrypoker deck I made at work, and we played a round of that. The rest of the night is too intimate to write about, but it was great. He left this morning, and we won't get to see each other again until new years eve.
Catching geckos in Florida
I understand now why they made us
wear socks with our pirate boots
so we wouldn’t lose our good shoes in the mud.
My sister and I were inseparable.
back when the rectangular sailboat
that sank in our murky bathwater
was our worst problem.
and shut-up was the dirtiest word
we knew how to use.
My sister wants a Rascal Flatts CD, so as much as it pains me, today I'm going to brave the country section at Everyday Music. I guess I won’t have a problem as long as there aren’t any hipsters around to see me make the purchase.
