Honestly, while the 100 icons is appealing, the back up DW provides is kinda of a selling point for me, especially for RP. But, that's just me and my unwillingness to go back and forth between sites.

I'm actually curious as to see where most of the RPing communities will be heading, including the meme's. Sorry... I just tend to lose things when they're not all in the same place.

Personally, I'm going to put my vote in for Dreamwidth. Frankly, I can continue to live with 15 icons, as it's not been any hardship, and DW's attitude during all of this has frankly made it look like a very attractive option. Furthermore, potentially being able to back-up our old logs and the like on DW would be absolutely lovely, and it would definitely make moving a whole lot easier.

That said, I genuinely love Paixao, and whatever the community goes with, I'll go with. I have no plans on leaving any time soon.

I would be happy to move to either of those sites, as both have pretty awesome pros - though admittedly I mainly say that about IJ because of the 100 icons, haha. But yes, wherever Paixao goes, I will cheerfully follow!

So, Jen's personal opinion? I'm torn.

I like a lot about dreamwidth... but I'm an icon whore. My pocket book doesn't like them so much. Also, I have no way of having a credit card, so paying for paid services would be a pain in the ass. Yeah, the import feature is a bonus, but it's not like our LJs are going anywhere. They're still viewable. Just for daily use, it's a wreck.

InsaneJournal really isn't so nice to look at, but the 100 icons is amazing. And as someone without a lotta money on her plate... yeah. I also do kinda like the old school LJ look... but you guys know me. |D I'm hardcore like that.

And then Oh LJ... if SUP would sack Igrick and someone came in with at least some good customer service, I could put up with this/figure out something for us till a solution was found, but as long as he's in charge being not giving a fuck about his users... siiiiiigh.

So yeah. I have no definitive answer, beyond a leaning to IJ.

I really don't think we can go wrong with either IJ or DW, I'll happily follow Paixao where ever it goes.

That said, DW's features and the way the staff is handling this fiasco are what get them my vote.

Actually, now that I think about it.

I feel as though Paixao's growth as a game would be hindered, possibly severely, if we ended up on IJ. The "usual" group of players would stick around, so it's unlikely we would up and die.

But I feel as though the fact that the RP community as a whole is all heading for DW and the fact that a fair amount of people seem to just dislike IJ will make it near impossible to get new blood in the game.

I'm pretty much going to reiterate what I said on Plurk now, but... this. As nice as the extra icons would be, IJ's pretty quiet on the RP front, especially now with DW looking like it's going to become the place for RP. And as loyal as those of us who play here tend to be, the fact of the matter is that people are going to drop. Whether it be a character or the game entirely, we're always going to lose someone, and we might not get them or a particular character back. Furthermore, it'd probably be pretty difficult to lure in new players over to IJ, since a lot of people seem reluctant to hop between sites.
