Cogsworth had noticed the Beast's mood quite quickly- it was hard to miss- and he had feared that the next mood his Master would have would be one of such melancholy. Cogsworth knew that the nightmares had been effecting a few of them, effecting him just as much, and because of that he knew what it was like to go by with little sleep... He was surprised that the Beast's temper had even survived this long, to be honest, and when the Beast loses his temper, it only brings destruction and fear for those around him.

If the Beast lost his temper around Belle, Cogsworth knew that there was a chance she could take it, take his mood-swings, but that would depend on when she was from (or at least, according to all that time-nonsense! Cogsworth knew the time, and he really hated that it wasn't adding up.) If, however, Belle couldn't put up with the temper and ran off... Oh, that would be dreadful. Time was running out, and his nightmares told him that every night ( ... )
