Gee thanks for the summary, I can't help but cry for Nakatsu but I'm so glad that the Japanese version made his character this way.
Although Sano's true feelings for Mizuki were a bit late, Shun is very powerful in his portrayal of Sano. I can't wait to see how they will catch up with Nakatsu's pace in the last eisode. Too bad Mizuki will end up with Sano anyway. But... hooray for Nakatsu -- you did a good job --- BABY!
Dear summary writer, you are great! Marvelous! Subarashi! Arigato gosaimas. (I hope I got it right.) If it weren't for you, I wouldn't wake up early to check on your summaries then watch the episodes (without english subs yet). Hooray also for you and thank you, thank you, thank you. BABY!!!!

Hahahaha you are too kind, thank you so much for your lovely comments. Yeah, I agree to a certain extent that Shun is powerful in his portrayal of Sano. I think he does the vulnerability thing AMAZINGLY, but I still think his Mizuki chemistry needs a lot of work. Granted, they are cute together, but cute in the way that puppies are cute and not sweet in the way that lovers are sweet... you know?
I'm so spoiled by the Taiwanese version though. The two main actors had such a spark that even if they were sitting in the same room doing nothing the air was thick with romantic tension. If the JP version had extended out to like 20 eps or something we could have had some of that, which is one of my biggest reasons for liking the manga.
You were very close in your Japanese, good work! "Subarashii", and "Arigatou gozaimasu". Close though!
Thanks again for your wonderful comments. It's fun to discuss the series with people. :) Come back next week to my main journal for the final episode. Oh I'm going to cry.
The only part that I think I remember (I've only seen it once so far) that you haven't mentioned was that if all 3 dorms participate, then they will get the Atami package. If only one dorm wins, then it's Hawaii. Then after the Olympics when they all tie, they decide to join together for the Atami package. And they have the awesome cheer routine together ;) But then again memory is faulty, and mine could be too!!
And I totally didn't notice Sekime interlinking fingers with Kyobashi. I think I missed a lot on this first viewing!
But I also hope that the ending will leave Nakatsu on a happy note as well. I'm REALLY hoping.
You are so fast with your detailed summaries! I usually have to watch it a few times before I write my post:) AND I go really slow. So thanks for this!!
Ah! You are so right. I think Kyoto sensei mentions that, I just didn't fully understand it. Thank youuu~~!!!
Haha I'm fast because I'm addicted to learning and challenging myself. My method is that I watch the episode for fun once through without stopping, take some time to absorb it, and then I open up Word and begin typing. I do a fast runthrough, using one-liners for Kyoto sensei for example, and then opening up the file in order to properly translate the juicy scenes etc. Once that's done I keep the file open and go back and do the rest of the scenes fully, leaving blanks when there's something I didn't understand. I usually finish that before I go to sleep and in the morning before class starts I whip out my dictionary and fill in whatever blanks I had. It's a nice getaway from my art world-- translation is still a little subjective but it's still 1000 times more black and white and logical than art critique. ;)
i've always admired shun for his great acting ability, the way he is able to evoke emotional scenes through his eyes and facial expression is amazing, that's why i'm totally disappointed with the lack of sano scenes in the past episodes.
i wouldn't have totally enjoyed this drama if not for episode 10, 11 and hopefully 12. this episode was totally amazing, watching the RAW was nice, thanks to your translation i was able to understand it more, hontou ni arigatou gozaimasu!
i'm looking forward to episode 12 and your translation...watching the preview was enough to mAke me teary-eyed...i'm going to be sad to see it end.
You know, this is slightly off topic; sorry, but do you read the Hana Kimi manga? Something about the Japanese drama that really upset me is that the Julia story arc isn't included. I don't even like Julia that much, but she's really important to Nakatsu's development and to Sano's coming to terms with his feelings. Did this bother you at all? >.<
