I think I know that place you are in. It's a very hard place to be. For me it is a very lonely place; it wasn't the job, or lack there of, that was the root of my anxiety but the perception that I was not able to do anything that I needed to do and that no one could help me. I still get caught in that trap. Realizing that my struggles were rooted in how I saw myself was the beginning of my efforts to overcome that inability to mobilize.
For me it was important not to marginalize the issue by saying to my self 'I just need to do it' or 'oh its just a perception thing'. Just? Our perception of ourselves is huge! Its how we see the world and how we react to it and how we feel about it and ourselves. Getting over the word just was very important for me. Don't let anyone, especially yourself, tell you it's "just" anything.
I can't speak for your situation because I only know a glimpse of it but I think I know that "I just can't see any good way out of this" kind of hopelessness that is so easy to fall into and so hard to get out of. Its
