i've always been both annoyed and amused when newspapers write articles about the weather, often employing cheesy headlines. but i worry when even the nytimes succumbs to the temptation of interviewing a few hot new yorkers, taking some pictures of kids playing in the street, and calling it an article.

Aww, but last year, I was running around in the reflecting pool when it was about a million degrees out, and some photographer came and took my picture for the LA Times, and when we started talking, I found out he was from Southfield, and got his start working on the Southfield-Lathrup Eccentric. My picture didn't end up getting published, but I was super-excited about meeting this guy...
