So this it; norcal. the main part of our little run up the pacific coast. We hit frisco, santa cruz, monteray bay and the
venerable PCH (pacific coast highway)
This time i used really low speed, fine grain film. the pictures came out AWESOME. I apologize if they
look really touristy and uh bland. but holy crap man. it's that the scenary is just sooooo beautiful. i was dragging my
jaw around the whole time. i took 349390483 pictures and of those these seemed most fit for posting. its still like
like 50 pictures but shit yo i cant decide what to cut..
here are some samples...click on the first cut to see the whole thing
from the begining...
We took Route five up the whole way, it was really bland and brown (kinda like me). Nothing really special here except for
some neat hills and stuff
then it became flat for three hours
and then back to hills and windmills
Then we finally made it to San fran
I guess i have to start with the golden gate.
tower
Then it was off to lumbard street
doesn't look like it but Walking back up was such a bitch.
then we went to coit tower (you can see it from lumbard street in the first picture)
this is from our first night in frisco; it was dark so i whipped out the highspeed b and w.
the city lights
city hall
the next morning
inside the tower
the view
I loved these trees
Then on to japan town...
tower thing
neat facade
Origami-ish fountain, i love how the beads of water look like their suspended in the air.
a hotel garden
J-town is nice, but its only a block long.
China town completly dwarfs it.
a bank...
another bank
Some more pagodas....we've got nothing like this in ny. the china town here is far more
dirty and sketchy.
that basically wraps up san franisco....we really did leave our hearts their.
moved on to santa cruz and monteray bay.
After r-2 reactivated the hyperdrive we finally were able to make the jump to lightspeed.
santa cruz
don't take your chucks to the beach
an thats all it was/is. beautiful.
monteray Bay
poor bird
Then it we were off to the 17 mile drive/Pacific coast highway
We got to see pebble beach whilst on the 17 mile drive
this picture currently adorns my desktop backround
the P C Freaking H, the single most beautiful drive i will ever take in my entire life.
winds along the pacific cost. it will scare the shit out of you if you drive real fast.
i leave you with the view from one of the cliffs.
