I'd recommend looking at monster.com's career search advice center; I credit the tips I learned from there to helping me get my current job. Also, look into "functional resumés;" this is a option, as opposed to a chronological resumé, that allows you to list your most relevant experience first.
Most campuses offer career counseling services for their alumni memebers, you might want to see if they'd be willing to help you with your resume. And even if you think your current or previous jobs have no relation to the position you are applying for, you can highlight the skills that apply to both (written and verbal communication, working independently, computer proficiency, etc.).
