not everyone will understand.
You & I have talked.... you know my feelings on why you & so many others have been sent to distant shores... they aren't directed towards the individuals who honorably do their duty, but feelings directed at those who would treat you as a pawn on a giant chessboard.
Yes, some folk in uniform have done bad things over the millenia. Far more have quietly done their duty, and many of those have returned home broken in mind or body... if they were lucky enough to come home at all. It makes me want to scream.
You and those like you will NEVER be forgotten, most especially by the people that matter the most... the ones that love you.
Thank you for all that you have gone through in the name of others. And those thanks also to each brother and sister in arms... but selfishly, you get an extra measure, because you're my friend and I love you & Kate.
