Tom, Jerry, and Helene

I slept until 9:40 am and I think I was still the first up.  Something had knocked over the cats' automatic food dispenser on the front porch so I cleaned that up.  I went out on the porch as and let Tom in as the rest of the family got up and he curled up next to Mommy.

Eventually we left for Marsha and Chuck's in the afternoon.  Grant and Lynne were there and soon enough Steven with Charlie and Blakely came.  By the time Papa and Chuck came back with the City Barbeque they'd picked up for dinner I was very hungry.  Afterwards we celebrated Key's birthday with cake and ice cream and presents.

I was oddly tired by the time we got back to the farm (and finally saw Jerry for the first time all day.)  I was in bed by midnight.

Before the trip I managed to finish my The Nanny rewatch and replay of Mass Effect.  I really am going to try to play some new games (or at least finish Shadow of the Tomb Raider) before getting back to Mass Effect 2.

I picked Mommy and Papa up at the rental car place Tuesday night.  They got back into town just in time for Hurricane Helene, although it's mostly just been cloudy thusfar.  The next-door neighborhood even had their lawn crew out.

I woke up at eight, on a Saturday to boot.  The cat food dispenser had been knocked over again.  I walked out back on the stone patio and a cat came in from the right and from the left to meet me in the middle.  I walked out to explore the big backyard and the cats followed.  I let the cats on the porch but to my surprise Tom let himself out but Jerry stayed and curled up on my lap for petting and purring and played with my notebook's bookmark.

We had a nice morning watching Rifftrax and listening to music; I read.  We went to a sports bar and I had a big salad.  Marsha, Pat, and Blakely came back to our place to feed the sheep.  Our car got there first and I walked out, worried because we could not see the sheep and goats, but as soon as I got near the fence they frolicked out from their shelter.  Blakely then enjoyed the trampoline.

We relaxed until it was time to go to the hibachi grill.  Half the table got fed first (not our half.)  Thankfully, noodles were part of the meal, and I got stuffed again on noodles and rice more than my scallops.  Oddly, the restaurant closed at 9:30 pm on a Saturday.  Again I was weirdly tired, and I went to bed at 11:15 pm.
