An interesting blog there, I agree with everything you have said.. However there is one thing that CCP does ignore, and I believe that would be "Options" CCP says they look at what the players are doing in the game and try to support that, however the reality is they need to look at what they are doing and WHY they are doing it. For instance you say the player base is partly to blame, while this may be true, the problem is only about 20% of the player base reside in 0.0 and fight fleet battles. If this was an option for everyone in the game to do, I'm sure there would have been more correct feed back on this. And that I blame CCP for

That would require them being competent enough to realize they made something that would be abused so poorly before now. Obviously they aren't. As has been highlighted multiple times (particularly in those theory blogs and in the recent MMORPG.com article), their latest supposed initiatives have actually been aimed at more variety of play-styles and such for Null-Sec, so that, as you say, there will be less of a monopoly by massive Alliances.
But, again, I say 'supposed initiatives' ... still waiting on actual content, but they have let slip enough positive ideas, and one can hope even a fraction of what they say shows up in the Tranquility expansion...

I don't think you can compare Eve to Infinity community wise. Reason being is that Infinity is a game unlike any other, the universe is massive. You can't even expect the same kind of community you would in any game inside infinity and here is why
