THIS MONTH:

My mother brought Melisande to dinner. Without telling Arvie and Lotho and that was something I reckon. We got told off for what we normally do, I don't know, I didn't think we were embarrassing, but our parents did. It's not my fault that Emelye is a hag, I was just pointing out a statement of fact. I know that Arvie and Lotho have to be skived about it, although I haven't heard about it from them, and I haven't gotten hexed. But they have to be skived.

I can't believe that my mother did that and I can't believe that Victoria didn't try to murder anyone at the table.

No one has really said anything about it since. Melisande didn't say much, I was trying to be nice to her, because I do like her and I reckon she can do better than Lotho but she's a nice person and I don't mind her. She didn't know what fork to use, so I showed her, that's nice, right? She didn't say as much as my mother wanted her to, I don't think, mostly because she didn't talk hardly at all or anything. Maybe I'm just used to people who talk all the time.

I also can't believe that Bex Whitby did what she did, but she is sort of a slag, so I reckon I shouldn't be that surprised. I really did not expect her to show up at Arvie and Lotho's but I guess when you're Hell Urquhart's reserve you can do whatever she lets you do. Whitby did a great thing for her social life, but.

I don't know it was just strange. I don't particularly like Whitby but I don't hate her either. She's mates with Murray, she's just not my sort of people. No one was rude to her or hexed off her hair, but we're not at Hogwarts and Hell Urquhart brought her and Hell Urquhart can do whatever Hell Urquhart wants, especially in Scotland.

Dan punched me at the Tutshill match because he's an idiot. I'm going to hex him when he's not expecting it, the great prat. Bertram and I were sodding right anyway.

The Magpies won (again) yesterday against the Falcons. It was a dead brilliant match and I suppose someone should send Whitby a fruit basket thanking her for distracting the Falcons but a win is a win and I probably shouldn't actually say that. I was excited, well everyone was excited that matters anyway. I feel sorry for Amira next month when she has to start cheering for the Falcons all the time, but that's what you get, I suppose.

And apparently (and unfortunately) Puddlemere won too yesterday which is depressing.

Next match is against Portree which means we're not going to be able to pay to get Quivoca Urquhart to shut up about how Portree is going to win, no contest. Not that she wouldn't be doing that anyway, but it's a pain to deal with her when she's wrong. That's also Valentine's weekend.

There were loads of people at the party last night. There were the usual Magpies and supporters but then most of Potree showed up including Whitby and the Falcons came over later after that, which I reckon should not be surprising at all since we're going to be related to both Vaisey's by marriage next month and sometimes they show up. And they found out Whitby was there.

And I think it's warmer outside than it is in this office, so I'm going to go see about that.
