Online Resume/Portfolio?

Mar 12, 2008 23:20

I'm looking for a cheapo way to put scans of my clips on a Web site that potential employers can look at. It doesn't have to be uber fancy, just something that makes it so I don't have to e-mail huge image files and have them get bounced. Any suggestions?

Also, google reader rocks.

You might consider converting these image scans into Adobe PDFs to reduce the file size.

Additionally, why do you even need full page scans. Wouldn't it be sufficient to have a word document (or a converted pdf of aforementioned word document) of the article with an addendum stating when and where it was originally published

Doesn't work. In the journalism field, they want to see the thing in its original format. My stuff is already available online (with a few exceptions from my days at Cincinnati Magazine), but they want to see the physical publication of the article.

I think it's because it's too easy to go back and edit a piece after publication to eliminate minor errors on an online publication - once it's printed, it's over. Nothing can be changed.
