how are you??? tell me all about your life

my life is for the most part pretty alright! i'm doing a pre-clinical term in michigan right now and then will be pulling my hair out this fall to study for my board exams. i am somehow more of a social creature once again and i think that's been good for my mental health (though i think leaving the island and ~isolation~ in general tended to have that effect). there are days when i feel like time is moving too fast and things are changing around me while i'm moving in slow motion but i'm trying to get used to that feeling. it's taken a while but i feel like i have finally come to terms with and wrapped my head around the fact that oh wow, this is my life. i am going to be a bit of a nomad for a few years and temporarily homeless and pushed to my limits and out of my element but it's also got a wonderfully terrifying and adventurous edge to it which is...not entirely a bad thing? on the bright side, i don't feel as disoriented as i did some time ago

i miss you too! ♥ good to know things are okay; hope you're enjoying michigan. constant transition is tough. though i have to admit that the adventure aspect strikes me as kinda romantic. you scholar-wanderer, you. i think you'll meet all your challenges with grit and grace, and hopefully i'll be able to stay tuned in
