Is a fall growing season specific to MD? When does it end down there?

I envy you your pumpkin. I *may* have one if my hand-pollinated female flower bulb starts growing bigger.

I would think most of north east has a fall growing season. maybe shorter in toronto, but you should be able to plant the winter root veggies like beets and turnip and winter radish, as well as broccoli and cabbage and such in july and start of august, and pick them in october. also a second crop of peas, which like the cold.

pumpkins too - so you might get a few more.

Yeah, it's time for me to get fall peas in too. Love your photos!! You might try green beans next year, if your kids like them. They're pretty easy to grow and fun.
